U.S. Secretary of Defense Esper visits Manila

U.S. Secretary of Defense Esper visits Manila
18-19 November 2019

U.S. Secretary of Defense Mark T. Esper visited the Philippines for the first time as Defense Secretary to reaffirm the steadfast and enduring U.S. – Philippine alliance.

While in the Philippines, Secretary Esper together with U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines, Mr. Sung Kim, met with the Philippine Secretary of National Defense Delfin Lorenzana and Secretary of Foreign Affairs Teodoro Locsin, Jr., to discuss the importance of our broad bilateral relationship in the Indo-Pacific region.

During his trip, Secretary Esper also visited the Manila American Cemetery, where he participated in a wreath-laying ceremony, as well as Camp Aguinaldo, where he met with U.S. service members currently in the Philippines.

Ages Aviation Center, Inc. is honored to have provided service to the Secretary of Defense’s Boeing B-757 aircraft. The crew of the B-757, who have now become frequent clients of Ages, were provided with the “expeditious and thorough handling” service as the Pilot-in-command eloquently expressed in his thank you e-mail to Ages’ General Manager.

The Ages lounge took on the role as the host nations staging area, where guests from the U.S. Embassy Manila and various branches of the Philippine Government met and waited for Secretary Esper’s arrival and later departure.
