Mr. Shiochiro visits Manila

shiochiroMr. Shoichiro Toyoda, honorary chairman Toyota Motors Corp. arrived on board a private Gulfstream V business jet on April 21, 2010. Mr. Toyoda is visiting Manila again because he was awarded the Order of Lakandula with Rank of Grand Cross by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

The Order of Lakandula is one of the highest honors given by the Republic of the Philippines. It is an order of political and civil merit, awarded in memory of Lakandula’s dedication to the responsibilities of leadership, prudence, fortitude, courage and resolve in the service of one’s people.

FBO services for the business jet of Mr. Toyoda was provided by Ages Aviation Center, Inc. It was a great compliment to Ages when no less than Capt. Jason Brooks, Chief Pilot – Airflite/Toyota said that Ages provided an outstanding handling service for their overnight stay in Manila. Capt. Brooks further added that Ages is among the best in South East Asia.

Ages Plays Host to Asian Air Safari

asian-airAges Aviation played host to Asian Air Safari when their invited featured aircraft fro Gulfstream Aerospace arrived in Manila on April 08, 2010. A brand new GLF 4 with no less than Mr. Peter Hoi, Regional Vice-President of Gulfstream International Corporation, touched down and parked at the Ages Ramp. On hand to meet Mr. Hoi was Asian Air Safari host Captain Joy Roa.

As part of the air adventure story of the show, the GLF 4 will fly to Cambodia from Manila. The crew of Asian Air Safari will document the adventure on film. The Show airs on ANC (local channel).

U.S. Secretary of State Two Day Visit

clintonMrs. Hillary Clinton, one of the most powerful women in the world, arrives at the Ages Ramp inside Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) for her first official visit to the Philippines. Standard operating procedures were implemented by NAIA Assistant General Manager for Security and Emergency Services & U.S. Embassy Manila in ensuring strict security measures were in place. Clinton was met by Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto Romulo, US Ambassador Kenney, and top Philippine government officials.

SPECTREM AIR DC-3TB

spectremSpectrem Air flew their DC-3TB from South Africa, over Canada, through Alaska, Japan, and touching down in the Philippines last Aug 16, 2009 before making it to its final destination in Australia where it will be doing Mineral Exploration. The aircraft is equipped with ExplorHEM Technology giving the aircraft a very unique look. During its short Remain Over Night (RON) visit in Manila all Ground Handling and FBO Services were provided by Ages Aviation Center, Inc.

USS GEORGE WASHINGTON

washingtonTHE U.S NAVY AIRCRAFT CARRIER, USS GEORGE WASHINGTON ARRIVES MANILA FOR A 4-DAY GOODWILL VISIT. THE SHIP’S CREW WILL PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS IN METRO MANILA. THEY WILL HELP IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW SCHOOL LIBRARIES, REPAINTING OF SCHOOL BUILDINGS, OUTREACH ON TUBERCULOSIS AND FLU PREVENTION AND TREE PLANTING.

AGES AVIATION CENTER, WAS BUSY LENDING SUPPORT TO THE AIRCRAFTS OF USS GEORGE WASHINGTON THAT WAS PROVIDING VIP AIRLIFT SERVICE TO U.S AMBASSADOR (MANILA) KRISTIE KENNY AND HER INVITED GUESTS TOGETHER WITH CAPT. DANIEL C. GRIECO – EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF THE USS GEORGE WASHINGTON, SEC. ROMULO AND PARTY, INCLUDING CAPT. GAGE OF THE US DAO MANILA.

THE AIRCRAFTS INCLUDED THE U.S NAVY C2’S, AND BLACKHAWK HH60 HELICOPTERS WHICH WERE ALL PROVIDED GROUND HANDLING SERVICE BY AGES DURING THEIR SEVERAL STOPS AT AGES RAMP AT NINOY AQUINO INT’L AIRPORT, MANILA. FLIGHT OPERATIONS BEGAN WITH EARLY MORNING FLIGHTS (6.AM) WITH SUBSEQUENT FLIGHTS THROUGHOUT THE DAY.

ARRIVAL OF KOBE BRYANT IN MANILA

kobe2NBA Superstar Kobe Bryant of the NBA 2009 Champions Los Angeles Lakers returns to Manila. Kobe arrived on a Nike Business Jet Gulfsteam 5 at the Ages Aviation Center, Inc. FBO facilities in Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The Manila vist kick off a six-city tour that includes stops in Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Ages Aviation was put in charge of providing appropriate media personnel press stand section that followed the front page picture shot at the Philippine Star Newspaper of Kobe Bryant as he flashes the victory sign to the well wishers at his arrival

US DEFENSE SECRETARY ROBERT GATES IN MANILA

us-defenseUS Defense Secretary Robert Gates, the first senior US official who visited the Philippines after President Barack Obama took office arrived in Manila last Jun 01 on board a B747. Ground Handling and other airport arrangements was provided by Ages Aviation Center, Inc.

During the visit of Secretary Gates, he renewed the commitment of the Obama Administration to help flight terrorism and extremism. He said “Together, we will not relent until this threat has been eliminated,” referring to the 340-member Abu Sayyaf group, included in Washington’s list of foreign terrorist organizations. “It is clear that the Philippines is taking on a larger role on the world stage and as it does, this relationship, one of our oldest alliance partnership in Asia, is one that I believe that will endure and deepen in the years to come,” Gates said, adding that the US-Philippines relation need to evolve into a broader, strategic one.

SPANISH FOREIGN MINISTER IN MANILA

spanish-ministerSpanish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Miguel Angel Moaratinos including a 10 man delegation which included senior foreign ministry officials, arrived in a Spanish Air Force A310 diplomatic flight for a three-day official visit on 24 March. Highlights of the visit was the signing of three agreements that would boost RP-Spain cooperation. For the Philippines, this is a very important visit and a great honor. Spain will play a prominent role in the European Union next year as it assumes the presidency in January for a six-month term.

In the congratulatory words of the Spanish Ambassador to the Philippines Luis Arias to Ages after the departure of H. E. Miguel Angel Moratinos, ” Thank you to Ages and your efficient staff for a perfect ground handling of the arrival and departure arrangements of the aircraft. We look forward to using Ages again for our aircraft requirement.” He added that Ages was well thought of in Spain and that the Spanish Air Force have given Ages the highest endorsement for their FBO requirement.

AGES TURNS KIWI

kiwiThe Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNAF) brought up their P-3, C-130, two (2) B-757-200 to Manila and Clark last April 8 – May 9, 2009. Part of the visit was the RNAF’s participation in the ASEAN Regional Forum Voluntary Demonstration of Response on Disaster Relief (ARF-VDR) held at Clark Field, Pampanga. During the exercise the RNAF showed their aviation might in transporting more than 100 passengers, from their visiting countries to Clark, Manila, and back.

All FBO and Ground Handling services both in Manila and Clark were provided by Ages Aviation Center, Inc. with the guidance of the New Zealand Defense Attaché Office of Manila. Ages again showed its flexibility with the ever changing schedule and weather constraints that were then troubling the country.
