Toyota JP Honorary Chairman visit TMP Tech

Toyota Motor Corporation (Japan) honorary chairman Dr. Shoichiro Toyoda recently visited the Toyota Motors Philippines School of Technology (TMP Tech) and toured its world class facilities at the Toyota Special Economic Zone in Santa Rosa City, Laguna. Philippines.

Founded by Toyota Motors Philippines Corporation (TMP) chairman Dr. George S.K Ty and Dr. Toyoda, TMP Tech is a world class automotive school envisioned as a stable wellspring of highly skilled after-sales technicians to meet the growing local and overseas demand, while uplifting the lives of Filipinos through gainful employment.

AFC celebrates 60th anniversary in Manila

MANILA, Philippines – The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) returns to the place where it all started – Manila – to celebrate its 60th anniversary and honor the continent’s best and brightest in the Annual Awards night at Makati Shangri-La Hotel.

AFC officials, led by president Sheikh Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa of Bahrain and general secretary Dato Alex Soosay, lead some 400 delegates for the affair to be graced by International Football Federation (FIFA) president Joseph Blatter and secretary general Jerome Valcke.
Ages was honored to provide full ground handling service in MNL/RPLL and FBO service to the AFC as it returns to its “ home soil “ to celebrate its 60th anniversary.

Manila host city of the 1st leg of the IPTL

Manila hosted the inaugural season of the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL). Which concluded 30 November at the SM Mall of Asia Arena with a sizable crowd cheering on the Manila Mavericks after they defeated the Singapore Slammers for their first win in three days.

“If you look at the amount of people who showed up here, (it’s) unbelievable support. From Friday all the way through to Sunday, you know it shows that people here love tennis,” said Andy Murray, who played for the Manila Mavericks and capped the leg with a thrilling win over Nick Kyrgios of the Slammers.

“It’s been amazing crowds every day, and they’ve been really great supporters,” said world No. 5 Ana Ivanovic, who from the first day until the last was the darling of the crowd.

Frenchman Gael Monfils, who gained a lot of Filipino fans thanks to his explosive play for the Indian Aces and his sensational hip-hop dancing in between sets, appreciated how “into it” the fans were.

“It’s good, it’s my first time in the Philippines and I think they have been great and unbelievable,” he said. Doubles specialist Sania Mirza on Saturday said that Manila

Serena Williams, who played only on the final day, was surprised yet delighted by the reaction she got.

Founder of Starkey Hearing Foundation arrives

Starkey Hearing Foundation, Mr. William F. Austin’s vision, “So the World May Hear,” fits more than 100,000 hearing aids annually to children and adults through global hearing missions. The Starkey Hearing Foundation was recently in the Philippines with mission in the Luzon, Visayas & Mindanao regions of the Philippines.

Ages Aviation Center, Inc. the preferred FBO in the Philippines of Starkey Hearing Foundation arranged Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (C, I, Q) planeside clearing for the aircraft crew and its passenger in Puerto Princesa / (RPVP) and permits to operate within the country.

The mission concluded with the culminating program in Luzon where Ages once again served as Starkey’s Private Jet G450 service provider. Ages provided full ground handling service including executive lounge with shower facility and crew transfer for their connecting flight as another set of crew arrived to continue Starkey Hearing foundation mission to Uganda and later to India.

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu Undertakes Official Visit to the Philippines

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu visited the Philippines last, November 17, with a delegation of about 111. He travelled with his wife, Mrs. Sare Davutoğlu.

From the ceremonial wreath-laying at the Rizal Monument in Rizal Park, Prime Minister Davutoğlu and core members of his delegationwill proceed to the Malacañan Palace for a meeting with President Benigno S. Aquino III to discuss bilateral, regional and international matters. An official luncheon will be hosted by the President in the Prime Minister’s honor.

Pop superstar Mariah Carey is back in Manila for a one-night concert at the Mall of Asia Arena on Tuesday, October 28.

Mariah, who flew in from the Taiwan leg of her Elusive Chanteuse tour, was warmly received by her Filipino fans during her arrival in Manila on Monday, October 27.

The singer behind the hit songs “Always Be My Baby,” “Hero,” “Butterfly” and “We Belong Together,” posted a video of her Filipino fans cheering for her, as she waves at them.

“Thank you #Manila #lambily for the incredible welcome. I love you much!!! Can’t wait to see you at the show!! #TheElusiveChanteuseShow”

Mariah is currently on tour for her “The Elusive Chanteuse Show,” which kicked off last October 4 in Japan. Security for Mariah at the airport was very tight. She was welcomed by her tour management and local sponsors at planeside and brought to the Ages Lounge, the only premier private lounge located at the AGES FBO ramp, (Balagbag Ramp), NAIA.

PHIBLEX BEGINS WITH A SALUTE TO PARTNERSHIP, FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN US MARINES US NAVY AND THE PHIL. ARMED FORCES

Sept. 29 was the opening ceremony for Amphibious Landing Exercise 2015 held in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. PHIBLEX is an annual, bilateral training exercise conducted by the Armed Forces of the Philippines, U.S Marines and Navy to strengthen interoperability across a range of capabilities, including disaster relief and contingency operations.

Ages Aviation Center, Inc. served as the Manila DV stop of high ranking officers of the US Marines and US Navy as they moved from one exercise venue to another.

Ages provided VIP ground handling ensuring a, quick turnaround in close coordination with the US Embassy for a “mission complete” status from all fronts.

Support for both the US Marines Beechcraft King Air (C-12) and Cessna Citation Ultra (C-35) used throughout the exercise was also provided by Ages.

2014 Pacific Partnership multinational humanitarian aid, relief mission kick off in Tacloban City

TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines, July 6 — The multinational humanitarian aid and relief mission of the 2014 Pacific Partnership (PP 14) officially kicked off over the weekend with close to 300 military personnel from United States, Japan, Australia and Malaysia now working side by side with their Filipino counterparts in the delivery of various services to typhoon hit Tacloban City and Palo, Leyte.

Ages is proud to be once again selected to be the ground handler and FBO to the Japanese Air Self Defense Force (JASDF) who flew in their Kawasaki C-1 twenty six (26) Japanese participants to Tacloban.

The Ages office in Manila (MNL/RPLL) once again was turned into JASDF off station where the Pilots secured their weather brief and NOTAMS, filed their flight plan, refueled and loaded catering (lunch and dinner) meals for their return flight to Japan.

In his personal message of appreciation to Mr. Salonga JASDF Capt Tonasaki had this to say “I really appreciate what you did for us. I hope I work with you again.”

emerson Emerson invests MANILA, PHILIPPINES – US-based diversified global manufacturing and technology company Emerson is investing $20 million to expand its business process outsourcing (BPO) operations in the Philippines.

Emerson Process Management recently opened its new engineering and service center at a 10,000-square-meter building in Pasig City.

“This new facility represents an investment in our growth strategy in Asia and reconfirms our commitment to the Philippines which has a large pool of skilled engineers,” said Ed Monser, president and chief operating officer of Emerson.

Emerson is investing $20 million in the Philippines to support sales of its automation technologies and engineering services in Asia Pacific and around the world.

Emerson employs around 700 people at its Manila center. It expects to employ close to 1,000 by 2017.
