Canadian Prime Minister Arrives in Manila

canada-primeCanadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper arrived in Manila on 09 November 2012 on board an Airbus A310. Prime Minister Harper’s visit marks the first highest-level of a Canadian Official since Prime Minister Jean Chretien brought a business delegation to the Philippines 15 years ago. He arrived after a six day tour of India to discuss bi-lateral trade with President Benigno Aquino III and was accompanied by a business delegation that included the Canadian Minister of International Trade, Minister of Natural Resources, a Filipino- Canadian Senator and 10 other Filipino – Canadian community leaders.

The honor of being the official ground handler for the Prime Minister’s flight was given to AGES Aviation Center, Inc. Manila ’s most seasoned FBO, who provided ground handling service that included cargo handling, aircraft repositioning and special coordination for access to the Presidential Hangar.

French Prime Minister in Manila

french-primeFrench Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on 19 October 2012 a first for any French head of government to visit the country since 1947.  

Arriving on board an Airbus A330 the French Prime Minister was accompanied by a 130-member delegation consisting of ministers, parliamentarians and businessmen, separately flown in on board an Airbus A340. 

AGES Aviation Center, Inc. was given the privilege and the honour to be the official ground handler for this historic event by Air France through their Manila office headed by KLM.  True to its form AGES provided seamless ground handling service which included special cargo handling, aircraft repositioning and countless special coordination to ensure that the French Prime Minister’s flight departed for Cebu/RPVM on schedule. 

David Guetta Arrives in Manila

guettaTwo-time Grammy -winning house music producer and Dj David Guetta, brought his own brand of genre-busting music to Manila last October 10, 2012 at the Mall of Asia Arena. DJ David Guetta flew in by private plane, which was serviced by AGES Aviation Center, Inc. for his third stop of a five-city Asian tour.  

Arriving a few days before the 10 October Concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, AGES Aviation provided VVIP ground handling service for the very private French DJ. AGES Aviation likewise provided VVIP ground handling service on departure.

IBM Chairman in Manila for Leaders Forum

Sam Palmisano, the former top executive of IBM who guided the tech giant’s shift from manufacturing to outsourcing and e-services, is visiting the country for the first time to take part in a forum to be attended by Pres. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III on Wednesday.

The visit of Palmisano also coincides with the 75th anniversary of the company’s local operations. Palmisano will be serving as special gue st for the “Philippine Think Forum”

A statement issued by IBM Philippines said the Think Forum is designed to bring together prominent leaders from cross sectors, private, public and academe, to engage in a collaborative discussion on global economic and social issues.

While in Manila AGES provided all VVIP ground handling services. Not to mention the flexibility in ensuring clearances and slot time were ready for an “anytime” departure.

IBM’s executive jet departed Manila almost 1 hour ahead of proposed schedule without a hitch.

Honorary Chairman of Toyota Motors, Dr. Shoichiro and Mrs. Hiroko Toyoda back in Manila

toyotaHonorary Chairman of Toyota Motors, Dr. Shoichiro and Mrs. Hiroko Toyoda back in Manila to attend the ground breaking ceremonies of  Toyota Motors Philippines Technical school.

To meet demand for highly-skilled, world-class automotive technicians for its global needs, Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. has allotted P350 million to establish a technical school within its special economic zone in Santa Rosa , Laguna.

“Skilled Filipino automotive technicians are in high demand not only in the Philippines but all over the world as well,” TMP president Michinobu Sugata said in a speech during groundbreaking ceremonies for the education facility on Thursday.

TMP vice president Rommel Gutierrez said the school will initially rise in a one-hectare land but would eventually expanded to 10 hectares in the future. With a promising outlook for the Philippine economy Toyota said it expects more Filipinos owning cars pushing higher the demand for new vehicles. “More vehicle fleet will be on the road and will further increase the demand for automotive technicians to provide after-sales service,” Sugata said.

PepsiCo CEO ARRIVES IN MANILA

pepsicoThe continuous heavy rains that have been affecting the whole of Luzon (northern region of the Philippines) could not stop AGES Aviation Center, Inc. from performing ground handling service to the business jet of PepsiCo. PepsiCo Aviation Global 5000 landed amidst torrential downpour but AGES Aviation was ready to receive the aircraft and their passengers. On board was CEO of PepsiCo, Indra Nooyi, whose 2 day itinerary included visiting business partners, some Filipino business leaders, and Waterhope . AGES ensured that clearing was done in a short time. 

CHIEF OF THE US PACIFIC COMMAND ADMIRAL SAMUEL LOCKLEAR III ARRIVAL IN MANILA

Admiral Locklear, chief of the US Pacific Command based in Honolulu, Hawaii, met with President Benigno S. Aquino III to reaffirm his country’s commitment to help the Philippines develop “minimum creditable defence.”

HEAD OF US JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF IN MANILA

joint-chiefsGeneral Martin Dempsey, the highest US Military Official and Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, arrived in Manila early last night, 03 June 2012, at the Balagbag Ramp, Ninoy Aquino International Airport, after attending the recently concluded Shangri-la Dialogue in Singapore. General Dempsey’s trip to the Philippines, which was part of his travel to Asia, was to meet with senior military and civilian leaders, as they routinely consult and exchange views on a broad range of bilateral, regional & global issues that reflect on common values and interests. General Dempsey met with General Jessie Dellarosa for a short discussion centering on military and security issues, before jetting off to Thailand.

Ages Aviation Center, Inc. once again was in charge of providing ground handling service for General Dempsey’s flight at Manila.
